If I could get paid for taking a shit At the drop of a hat, I'd do it Not in a pornographic way Maybe. It's perverse. Who's to say? But if I could earn a decent living Doing something as effortless as shitting Poetry, photography, writing, cooking I'd call that retirement--a blessing.
I often tell people, if I could earn just $60k a year from doing just my creative work I’d consider myself retired. They often fire back with, “How is that enough? What about a house? What about a car? What about savings? What about? What about?”
What about what? It’s hard trying to convince people of this dream, to bring people on this journey. But I think taking a shit would be a close analogy.
Just imagine it.
Imagine if every day you collected all your poops and then at the end of every month you were paid $5,000 for your store of shit, you’d be free to do whatever you please. Cause for me, $5,000 a month takes care of rent, food, bills, a little bit of savings, and a little bit of going out. You wouldn’t even have to worry about retirement, you would continue shitting right until the day you die.
Maybe creating isn’t effortless. Shitting isn’t always effortless either. But at least it’s natural.
